Project Overview
Overstreet constructed a new Central Energy Plant for the Fort Knox hospital, including a new 2,400 SF metal building addition, concrete slab and foundations.
Scope Highlights
- Two (2) new 2,500 kW (2.5 MW) 15 kV generators, exhaust system and fuel storage facility
- New medium-voltage switchgear, paralleling switchgear, batteries, transformers and 15 kV feeders
- New pad-mounted transformer, underground primary, low-voltage switchgear, building lighting and power
- Replaced more than 5 miles of overhead conductors, poles, transformers, reclosers, switches, secondary risers and aerial drops
- Replaced and disposed of PCB-contaminated oil-filled pole-mounted and pad-mounted transformers
